We are running an open evening on the 20th of October 2026 at The Essex Smile Centre starting at 7pm. This event is hosted by Dr. Stephen Keane and Dr. Declan Keane, our two principal dentists each with multiple decades of experience. Your Smile Makeover Open Evening will be hosted by Dr Stephen Keane and Dr Declan Keane, brothers, principal dentists and highly experienced cosmetic clinicians at The Essex Smile Centre.

Together, they bring decades of experience in advanced and cosmetic dentistry, combining clinical expertise with an honest, patient-focused approach to helping people achieve a smile they feel confident in.

Stephen qualified from Bristol University in 1998 and joined the practice in 2003. He has completed extensive postgraduate training in advanced dentistry, with particular interests in cosmetic tooth straightening and aesthetic dentistry.

A full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Stephen has helped create life-changing smiles for patients using treatments including Invisalign and other cosmetic solutions.

Declan qualified from Sheffield University in 1989 and joined the practice in 1997. His main interests lie in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, smile design and tooth straightening, alongside the treatment planning of more complex dental cases.

He is also a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has continued to develop his skills throughout his career, with a strong focus on providing high-quality, considered treatment for every patient.

Elena joined the practice in 2024 with eight years of dental experience and a special interest in Endodontics and Minimally Invasive Dentistry. 

She is passionate about providing gentle, patient-centred care and helping patients achieve healthy smiles in a relaxed, comfortable environment.

Roman joined the team in October 2023, having graduated from the University of Luliu Hațieganu in Romania in 2018. 

He has developed extensive experience in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, smile makeovers and alignment treatments, supported by a PG Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry and further training in Minor Oral Surgery and Invisalign.

Do I need to commit to treatment at the open evening?

No. The Smile Makeover Open Evening is designed to help you understand the options available and ask any questions you may have. There is no obligation to proceed with treatment on the night.

Will I meet the Dentists directly?
Yes. While the evening is hosted by our principal dentists, Dr Stephen Keane and Dr Declan Keane, all the dentists will be available. They will be sharing their experience and explaining the different cosmetic treatment options available.

What if I’m not sure which treatment is right for me?
That’s exactly what the evening is for. We’ll be covering Invisalign, composite bonding, veneers and teeth whitening, helping you understand the differences and which options may be most suitable for the smile you want to achieve.

What happens after the open evening?
